From A73 (Lanark) follow signpost for Carlisle.  Turn onto Hyndford Road (A73) follow to Hyndford Bridge.  At traffic signals cross the River Clyde and turn right onto A70.  Go through Rigside and at roundabout take 3rd exit onto A70 (signposted Ayr) and continue approx 2 miles.  Upon entering Douglas at the mini roundabout take 1st exit on left and continue to top and site is on left signposted Springhill Gait.

 

From Ayrshire – continue on A70 through Cumnock, Muirkirk and enter Douglas on Ayr Road.  Continue through village until at mini roundabout take 2nd exit and follow road to top and site is on left signposted Springhill Gait.

 

From South – M74 leave junction 12 (Edinburgh/Ayr).  Continue route as per A73 Lanark directions.

 

LOCAL INFORMATION/AMENITIES

Douglas is a rural community providing everyday amenities serving family lifestyle yet is only 2 miles from the M74 with access to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Carlisle less than 45 mins from your doorstep.  Douglas is the birthplace of the Cameronians.
